E.G.T.C. AMPHICTYONY

The Mediterranean, our sea, is the lake of its Peoples. Those Peoples marched through time and space, alone, sometimes as nomads and tribes and later as independent entities or in the shadow of great empires, with periods of peaceful co-existence, rivalries, friendships, defeats and victories highlighting civilizations whose roots can be found throughout the modern world, always having as common denominator the history written in this particular part of the world. 

Maintaining relations of cooperation and twinning with one another, the Twinned Municipalities, Associations and Areas of the Mediterranean believe that it is a matter of great importance for their peoples to live in a continuously peaceful environment and one of constant development, financially effective, socially just and environmentally viable with cohesion and security in their areas. 

The Twinned Municipalities, Areas and their Associations of the Mediterranean, members of the AMPHICTYONY Network of Twinned Cities and Areas of the Mediterranean that was established with its 1997 charter, realizing the need to adjust the existing charter to the Regulation EK 1082/2006 of the European Parliament and Council of July 5th 2006 for the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation , decide to amend the Charter of AMPHICTYONY as follows in order for it to evolve into an E.G.T.C Network.

EGTC AMPHICTYONY participates in LEONARDO DA VINCI program

The E.G.T.C Amphictiony participate in the program entitled ''Promotion of Integration in the planning and provision of social services within local authorities through municipal staff vocational training-A Lever for Local Development (Pr. In. Soc. Ser. Mun.) * In the lifelong learning program "Leonardo da Vinci-Transfer of Innovation ".
 
The program includes 7 partners from 4 countries, namely Greece , France , the UK and Lithuania. Lead partner of the project is the Greek Agency for Local Development and Local Government (EETAA) and partners are: the University tisReimssti France, NorthernHealthandSocialCareTruststo United Kingdom , the City unresolved (Alytus) in Lithuania , the City of Santa Barbara , toe -Trikala ( eGovernment the municipality of Trikala) and the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation " Amphictiony ', the latter three operators in Greece .
 
The program involves the promotion of an administrative system for implementing various social services operating within municipalities motivated by a concept of integration (integration).
 
Recognizing the lack of education in the completion and based on the findings of the program through the CARMEN project will design a training program (training of trainers , producing educational materials , development education ) for municipal officials working in Divisions / Departments or entities focused on the design and social services. This training is conventional for some strains of municipalities as partners remotely, which will be provided in English for executives municipalities across Europe.
 
The main goal is to standardize a training program in this object, which , with the necessary adaptations , could be used by other interested municipalities.
 
Contracting Authority is the State Scholarship Foundation and the budget will be covered by 75 % of EU funding through the Leonardo da Vinci program and 25% from own resources.
