We
are pleased to invite you to the conference organized by the European
Groupings of Territorial Cooperation "HELICAS," "AMPHICTYONY," and
"EUXINE POLIS," titled: "Cross-Border Cooperation in Southeastern
Europe: Challenges - Problems - Prospects." The conference will take
place on April 3 & 4, 2025, at the Grand Hotel Palace in
Thessaloniki, Greece.
The
conference welcomes the participation of Mayors, Deputy Mayors,
Municipal Councilors, and administrative staff of Local Authorities,
members of University Rectorates and academic staff, representatives of
the Boards of Chambers and their administrative staff, as well as
representatives of non-profit organizations engaged in territorial
cooperation.
Following
the initiative taken in 2023 to review cross-border cooperation in
Southeastern Europe and the observed dominance of economic incentives in
this context, this year's discussion will focus on key issues,
particularly governance and spatial planning in cross-border areas.
Emphasis will be placed on existing tools, potential solutions, and the improvement of cross-border cooperation characteristics.
