The process for submitting proposals for this year's contest European Charlemagne Youth Prize , will expire on January 28, 2013 . The prize is open to young people who have been involved in proposals that promote understanding between the peoples of the European states .
The European Charlemagne Youth Prize , which is organized jointly by the European Parliament and the Foundation of the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen, given to programs or projects undertaken by people between 16 and 30 years. The winning projects should serve as role models for young people living in Europe and offer practical examples of Europeans living together as one community. Activities associated with youth exchanges, artistic and Internet projects with a European dimension are amongst the projects selected .
The President Schulz said:
" The European Charlemagne Youth Prize is your opportunity to present your idea for Europe - to contribute with your own way to European integration. Diadramatiste your own role in shaping Europe the way you want! "
Total prize money of € 10,000
In three projects or programs that will be awarded will be awarded a cash prize of € 5.000, € 3.000, and € 2.000, respectively. The winners will also be invited to visit the European Parliament in the autumn .
Representatives of national projects or programs will be honored will be invited not only to the award ceremony Charlemagne in May 2013 , but two days later will also attend the ceremony Charlemagne Prize in Aachen, Germany, in a four-day trip .
2012 winners
